Cyathea Medullaris

Mamaku, also known as Cyathea Medullaris, is a native black tree fern found only in the damp forested areas of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Due to its geographical isolation in New Zealand’s dynamic ecosystem, Mamaku has thrived for thousands of years and contains unique biopolymers and nutrients. This all-in-one bioactive has been an important part of rongoā (traditional Maori wellness) for generations and is the key active ingredient in all our products.

OUR UNIQUE MAMAKU EXTRACT

Using our own team of leading scientists and developers we carefully formulate our own unique Mamaku extract which is then sent to our cosmetic manufacturer to be processed and packaged.

By developing and processing the extract in-house we are able to ensure the crops are grown and harvested in a way that is sustainable while also ensuring quality standards of each batch.

NATURAL

We believe that Natural is best.  It would be much easier to formulate our products with the type of chemicals that are typically found in most skincare applications. But these are not our values.  We source the best available natural ingredients to create our Mamaku products ensuring that they are SAFE for daily use.
